When she was 5 years old, Peyton Roberts began playing soccer for Burleson Independent Soccer Association. She quickly transitioned to academy soccer with a local club team, Sparta FC. At age 7 she begged her coach to let her play goal keeper during a tournament. Her team took first place in the tournament, she fell in love with the position, and hasn’t looked back since! In 2016, some friendly, assertive parents approached her family after a game and invited her to come out to a practice with their team. At that practice, Peyton decided to make the switch and play for coach Sal Adames. Playing at this elite level of soccer is a welcomed challenge for Peyton. Coach Sal and her teammates push her and encourage her to be the best player she can be.
Academically, Peyton’s’ schedule is full of pre AP and AP classes. Her cumulative GPA is 4.3 and she is currently ranked 7th in her class of 422 students, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
She was the starting goalkeeper on Burleson High School’s Varsity soccer team and was named 1st Team All- District and Newcomer of the Year.During the fall semester she played Libero on the Freshman Volleyball team, as well as short stop on JV Softball. Although she did not play for her school last year, Peyton also plays golf and enjoys spending time at the golf course any chance she gets.
Peyton is the oldest of 3 girls. Her sister Audrey is very close in age- only 16 months younger, and will be joining her at BHS this year. Her youngest sister, Cassidy is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. Even though Peyton’s highly competitive nature keeps things “interesting” when it comes to her sisters, the three girls are very close and can often be found plotting against her parents, Duce and Leslie Roberts.
